DPS Horace Mann

A district modernization for one of Denver Public Schools' historic campuses. New finishes, updated classrooms, district-grade documentation throughout — all sequenced inside the school calendar.
About the Project
DPS work

District-grade, summer-paced.

Horace Mann is a historic DPS campus, and the modernization had to land that twice over: respectful of an existing building, and forward enough that students and staff coming back in fall could feel the upgrade in every room they entered. The schedule was the school calendar — the work happened in the gap between graduation and back-to-school.

We delivered new classroom finishes, updated instructional environments, refreshed common areas, and the documentation district facilities teams expect: daily reports, dust and noise control logs, photographs at every milestone, and a closeout package built for both DPS facilities review and audit. Quiet handoff, easy first morning back.

“School modernizations succeed in the closeout binder. Build the binder all summer, not in the last week.”
— Project lead, Ellipsis Construction
